Testing New Live Production Features in Bologna

Following our successful demonstrations in Rimini, Livener is returning to Italy for its next real-world production test, this time in Bologna.

We are excited to be participating in the Emilia-Romagna startup competition, where we will be streaming presentations and activities from the Clust-ER Innovate stage directly to their YouTube channel.

For this event, we will be operating a complete production workflow using three smartphones and an iPad. Two smartphones will provide static coverage of the stage, while a third mobile camera will capture close-up shots and follow the action throughout the day.

As with previous events, audio remains a key focus. We will connect a direct feed from the venue’s sound desk to one of our camera devices, while a second audio source will capture ambient sound from the room using an external microphone. This combination helps create a more immersive viewing experience while maintaining clear presentation audio.

The event also provides an opportunity to test several new features introduced in the latest Livener software update.

For the first time, graphics and captions will be generated directly within the live production studio, eliminating the need for post-production workflows. We have also introduced enhanced camera controls that allow operators to zoom in, create tighter shots, and frame scenes more effectively during live broadcasts.

Perhaps most importantly, the entire production can be operated by just two volunteers, demonstrating how cloud-based production tools can dramatically reduce the complexity and cost traditionally associated with live streaming.

In addition to the scheduled broadcasts, we hope to share a number of ad-hoc live streams throughout the event. We look forward to putting the latest version of Livener through its paces and sharing the results with our community.
